Gross, I drove an SST in a 2014 legacy it was horrible.
Subaru doesn't have a dual-clutch offering. CVT, you're probably thinking of. And yes, they're horrible.

10812$ for the transmission and 3619$ for the transfer case. Ridiculous to say the least.
Holy shit! Thats about 90% of the car's retail price.
I don't know how you feel about used parts, but on car-part transmissions and transfer cases are $1000-$1500 depending on mileage/condition.

I recommend that you still write Mitsubishi North America a letter with pictures and description of this issue. This is a major miss with their manufacturing process, your evidence demonstrates that it is clearly insufficient. Keep it positive; include your VIN and other purchase information. Also demonstrate your brand loyalty, ask if they are willing to do something for you. I would state that your car is outside of their warranty. However, you still have expectations that this issue is unacceptable even if the car is outside of warranty. Under correct MFG processes of having that O-ring it would not have happened in the first place.

The differential is damaged, which you cant actually see the damage in any of the last four pictures. The front differential is the big gear on the top left corner of the second picture, which if you look at the last picture you will see is gone along with 1,3,5 gear cluster.

Everywhere I turn with contacting Mitsubishi they have zero interest in the failure and zero interest in helping me. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else or at least they catch it before there warranty is out, but I dont know how you would as there were no symptoms.
