So here it goes. I've been buying cars parts left and right and now seem to have found a shell I could be happy with building knowing it can be done right.

People that I want to thank so far since I've got back in. Jim(talonfiero). Thanks for getting me back and teaching me how to swap trans. Brad (celicabrad) knowledge and parts. Aaron(turbotalon1G) giving me a plan of how to build a car and just keep 1. Tom(blacktalontsi) for giving me a great deal on a car that is absolutely rust free and tons of dsm parts to boot.
And all of you on here that helped out and been over either buying parts or selling me some.

I love my Makita :)

Swap the Cometic for a Permatorque and get a real clutch. If CP hasn't made your pistons yet - seriously, talk to LaCroix ;) Other than that, she'll move. Good luck!

I can't run q permatorque cause they only go to 87mm. I already ordered the CPs and they said a few weeks still. Not a biggie since gosh said he's 2 weeks out anyways. Zimmer swears up and down about the southbend do I'll give it a shot if it don't hold I'll go to a comp TD like you did.

Nice looking car. 6266 would be a nice turbo. I personally wouldn't go any larger at first because that turbo will get you some damn nice numbers. Just make sure the rest of the car is ready for it. I'm not familiar with that clutch, but hopefully it works out? I really liked my 2900/Clutchnet combo. It's what a handful of people on the Link forums were running with good results. Something to consider if yours ends up not holding.

Good luck!

Can't wait to see this go together. I'd spend the $$$ and go 6266 over a holset thing, unless you wanted to go 5858, which I think would be awesome and I've seen break 600before with room to go.

I did more than just give you a plan. :p

I was thinking a 6262 journal bearing in a bolt on housing and a FP race if funds get low. But as of right now plan is a 6266 t3 top mount exhaust mani. The only thing is there's a $1500 difference in the set up. So I'll have to see where my money's at as it's the last thing I'm buying.

Halan these are the clutches I'm talking about.

I can't run q permatorque cause they only go to 87mm.

I actually have run one before on a 88mm over-bore custom job. It worked great. I even reused the gasket in my current 87mm 2.4.

Just another data point for consideration.

Top mount is just for show, so if that's what you are going for cool. If not they were built for 42R shits and well 90% of people don't even need those with all the new turbo tech around.
That is kinda my plan, do a bolt-on housing for now and see what it can do.
So what needs to be done to the new shell as of now?

Well with the advice of Shane and a few other shops they said the cometicwould do the job with L19s. So I'll give it a shot I also plan on o-ringing the head for extra insurance.

I'm currently pulling the black stuff out of my old shell to put in the new one then just wait for parts. My walbro 450 should be here by the end of the week so I might install that over the weekend, put in all my gauges, and black interior.

Am I going to be fine with the stock rail stock lines? I have an feed lines from the filter but that's it as of now. Also I plan on staying on plugs and wires just gonna get a spark box like a dynatex? Don't know how to spell it lol
