You really need to lose this sentiment, it's a dsm not a ferrari.
Cmon Scheides, you should know that dsm=racecar!

I can see out of my tint that's 20% too. Does that make it legal? I think not.
I actually still have a cat on my car. The point was if there is anything not legal on your car, you can techincally get a ticket for it. Thats the price we pay and the risk we run. If you can't afford a ticket, get out of the game now.
Clearly something was worthy of pulling you over if you got pulled over. Either you drove like an asshat or had something about your car that attracted the police.
Cry me a river, you know if tint is on the border line of being too dark or not. When I got my evo I knew the tint was too dark and I got pulled over for it along with no front plate. I knew both were ilegal but I liked it and sometimes you just have to pay the ticket when you get one or take off the tint and put on a front plate.
Go away, build your shitty dsm, and stop bitching:moon:
Umm, ok. I did nothing wrong, no matter what you think or say, it simply cannot change that fact. When I first saw my GS-T, I never once said the tint was too dark. No one I know said the tint was too dark either. Therefor I was not aware of anything being illegal.
Shitty DSM, alright. Prove it first, then we can go from there. :spin:

Compaired to a Mazda 626; yes. Otherwise, no, not at all.

I am totally convinced the cops are out to get you, good luck with that.
Btw, I married into law enforcement ( my wife worked for Dakota county) I know for a fact they purposefully pull over dsm's for no reason what so ever every time they see them. It's kinda racist really, but what ya gonna do? haters going to hate right? I am lucky though, I have the law enforcement secret handshake down, so I never get tickets. PM me if you wanna learn it ,,might help ya with that chip on your shoulder.

Well it looks like you learned your lesson the hard way.Still the fact is that it was clearly illegal, you got pulled over, and received a ticket for it. Nobody cares to be honest.

Yeah um....I'm sorry OP, but CornFed has a very good point. I have a "Mitsubishi" decale above my rear view mirror, but it isn't solid. I also did not place it there (original owner). .
you do realize cops dont care who put it on if its illegal its illegal same goes for window tint. The "original owner" excuse only works the first couple weeks of owning the car.

What I do not understand is where you are inferring that I received a ticket? I have been pulled over multiple times, but not once have I received a ticket. I believe that is because the cops knew as well as I did they were just harassing the red "sports car" they seem driving around town.
I never expected anyone to care so, oh well. That link is to a thread of a shell.” One man's junk may be another man's treasure”. Consider that saying before putting someone else’s car down.
As a matter of a fact, I purchased that car for myself. But if you really want to play that card, come back in 2 years when both are legally be mine.

That may be true, but we have to come back to the fact that my car is red, it has chrome wheels, it also has a spoiler. On top of that is has what looks like a can, but is rather a full exhaust, it has a decal or two one it, and insurance companies consider it a sports car.
The tint was on the car for a certain amout of time this summer. Then I had to remove it because of the warnings I recieved. But when driving around town now, I will see trucks with very dark tint. Have they been pulled over? No.
The real kicker is, I see cops drive right past those trucks. And they do not seem to mind them at all. But being my car was red, they were on me for that.
You guys should REALLY understand my point here. If said things are illegal for one kind of automotive group (cars), then they should be for trucks too. > I do understand they are "illegal" for them as well, but any given' day you can find someone with a truck driving around with pure black window tint and a cop will not think twice. It should be equal for each group. <
