A solid time, yes. Justification for the noise it makes, no. Seriously, you cannot possibly justify that kind of noise when cars next to it won't stay running. It's not loud, it's obscene and offensive, and the two times my car died next to it I'd have gone as far as labeling it downright antagonistic. And despite putting down a "respectable" time, the fact remains that it's a purpose-built race car that's slower than my daily driver.

And the turbo is effectively a muffler, which explains why that one makes at least tolerable noise levels. I guess I misread one of the times (probably the 9.10) as a 10.x, my bad. I was doing my best to ignore their cars.

In the end, I'd have zero issues with that group if they'd leave the brown car and the noisy pit bikes/atvs/etc at home and make normal amounts of noise like everyone else.
.

So you'd wanna tell Brent Rau to go home if he showed up (the most amazing drag car ever), since his car is loud.:jackoff:

I agree with spazz about those NA rotaries. So insanely loud for such meh times ran.

The only time i saw people plugging their ears was when those cars were rolling up to the line.

Top fuel cars are loud, sure! They also trap over 300mph.

The NA rotaries in question were trapping ~113mph and destroying ears.

Just my opinion, but i wouldn't shed a tear if they didnt come back.

I also wouldn't shed a tear if they were crushed, I've seen it ever since i've seen those things.

Even the 4-wheeler those guys were driving around was stupid loud and sounded like shit. Its loud AND sounds like shit, i think if it was just loud it wouldn't be bad.

You've obviously never heard this car. The brown one is just the most obnoxious sounding thing ever. I'm sure the guys are cool as hell and real stand-up peeps, but they need a different exhaust or something on that thing, it just sounds like a cat in a blender. Well, half-way in a blender. Seriously awful.

Guessing not much has changed since I took this video 2 years ago? I actually have another video where the thing dies at the line and every spectator in the place starts clapping and cheering.

No I would not. The difference is that Rau is fast as shit and his car has a genuine reason to be that loud. That rotary wouldn't run perceptibly slower if they had enough decency and consideration for others to put a $40 muffler on it.

Puerto Rico must have a steep embargo on mufflers.

I heard his car last year, and he was parked about 30 feet away from me at grove creek this year. It's annoying, but it's a track car.
