So My sister in law and her boy friend were watching Colbert tonight and the weirdest thing happened.
during an interview with his guest, it goes to Colbert, and a quick frame jumps in while Colbert is looking at the guy that turns Colbert into the mask from V for Vendetta (Guy Fawkes Mask) . It was only a quick flash. So thankfully we have DVR. and they managed to pause it right on the frame and sure enough it is. WTF? I will post a picture as soon as they upload it.
Anyone know any significance?

Like he was wearing the mask or someone was wearing the mask offset? Could have been hacked, like the old school l337 hack with the max headroom dude.

It was literally a single frame overlay on his face. quick flash and gone. I posted it up on the Colbert forums to see if there's an explanation.

It's a symbol for anonymous. Search for their "mask"

I believe that's what that mask symbolizes. That was the whole thing in V for Vandetta.
