its spreading, more people are thinking it had to do with what you guys were talking about. should be interesting if someone outright claims it. whats even more interesting is that they were talking about internet anonimity. (sp)

I believe that's what that mask symbolizes. That was the whole thing in V for Vandetta.
Using anonymity to overthrow totalitarian society. I have a hard time believing it was anything but Colbert himself playing a joke based on the subject of the show and what's going on in the world at this moment.

I just watched the re-run, and with the way the cut to Colbert's face while the other guy was talking leads me to believe it was part of the show.

Yeah I'm sure it was, to hack a digital network is retarded hard. The person that hacked the station back in the day was only on the air for a minute or so and that was back in the day of analog, you know when you could blow a 2600hz whistle into a pay phone and get a free phone call.
