I'll join the cruise to head up there so long as I'm packed and the car's ready by then, no reason not to.

I was iffy about putting a thousand miles on the vette but I think I'm going to bring it up for this now, at least I can do some AutoX and try out the road course.

Edit: Registered for the road course! Now to decide if I bring the slicks up with me. MAP guys, do you know of anyone from Iowa who is going?

They are letting you run das vette? surprising.

Yep, road course and AutoX do not have the restrictions that drag racing does.
If they did let me drag race the vette I'd for sure bring up two slicks with me in the car, but I can't fit all four obviously.

Put a hitch on the dam thing and get a uhaul trailer. I know it doesnt look nice but I have seen a hand full of vettes at the track with hitches to haul there slicks.

if my car has the battery in the back does it need a master shut off switch to pass tech?

I've got mine in the back (on a 1g) with no cut-off and they didn't say anything. But then again they never asked to see in the trunk. unless your car looks like it's going to trap 150, I doubt they will say anything.

Awesome! Long drive for sure. I saw you took the advice and asked over on the iowa board.

I don't know of many coming up from iowa but I know there are some. I'm sure you'll get a response over there.
