This video happened about 12 years ago. I can kinda see why police nowadays are quick to use a taser before things like this get out of hand.

Funny how when you see a video like this you can justify the force cops use, yet mostly we just see tidbits of beligerent suspects gettng tazed and feel the cops over reach their power and force. I'd take a tazer hit over an ASP strike, or bullet anyday.

Yea, there is always two sides to a story. Don't get me wrong I am not suggesting that a lot of the tasings that you see are warranted, or even somewhat abused, but seeing how fast violence can escalate to lethal levels, a non-lethal, nip-it-in-the-bud approach has an argument.

A small percentage of people die every year from Tasers. I'm not sure what the death rate is from an Asp. Clearly it didn't hurt this guy enough to matter.

i really dont like that saying "Guns dont kill people, People do" (Before anyone jumps all over me for being anti gun, which i am not, hear me out).
Guns do not walk around killing people, But are a tool, and like any other tool, you need the right tool for the job. Hand Guns help protect your family, Hunting Rifles are great at killing animals for food, So what job is a tool like an AK-47 used for? or how about a Machine Gun?

I think the majority of American Citizens can agree that the ownership of arms to protect your family or hunt is fine and dandy, but it seems the main disagreement between parties, and groups comes down to What kind of guns should be allowed, and which people should be allowed to own guns. My personal opinion is that hand guns of a certain caliber, and hunting rifles of certain criteria should be allowed to be owned, but a ban on other criteria should also be put in place. I believe that assault rifles, (even though i love looking at them and think they are really cool) have no place in normal society, (war zones excluded, as i think in war, the best tool for the job should be used, (which should be a laser gun with unlimited ammo, like out of most video games)).


Sure, the gun didnt act on its on, the man had to pull the trigger. But would he have been as effective had he been using a bolt action rifle? or a hand gun? or a bow and arrow? probably not.

From the brief training I received on using an ASP they can be fatal or life altering if you miss a strike and hit a red zone (neck, head, spine, joints)

I hate when cops are dicks and the fact that they don't have much to worry about other than the misc bullshit I get pulled over all the time here for. However I'm always polite and realize they're just doing they're job. This video literally just made me sick to my stomach, especially after reading the full description.

The criminal obviously just wanted to die, that was apparent when he got out of the car, luckily it was in a state like Texas where we can put the fucker to death and give him his wish. However letting him rott in a dark jail cell would have been nice as well, knowing he was being ass raped by whoever saw fit.
