By eliminating waste in the system and running a lean government.

Again see my refernce to home forclosure. But to specifically adress this with the same metaphore, you aren't going to save the farm by turning off a few light switches and shopping at Aldi.

One way or another this country needs more money. Wether it be higher taxes, or federalize an industry.

Febo - As of right now, the President and the Dems are not agreeing on the final decision on the bill. As it sits, the tax cuts will end Jan 1 if a comprimise isn't made.

Last I heard (again from NPR) is that everything caved and the repubs won the day in this. I might be out of step tho so I'll see what I can find on this.

By eliminating waste in the system and running a lean government.

Thats funny being that the bush era tax cuts are the biggest waste of all. Giving rich people tax cuts is a waste because they dont spend it. If you cut taxes or give a stimulus to the lower and middle class, they are much more likely to spend the money. And the whole, "The rich create jobs" arguement is complete bullshit, They dont create jobs, they outsource, lay off, eliminate and destroy jobs to save a buck and make their stock go up a quarter of a point. If they were to incorperate the Obama Tax cycle it would still save them money on their first $250,000 a year. after the $250k their taxes would still be less than what it was under Regan (your massiah).
There is no reason that those tax cuts should be extended as it does absolutely no good. The hilarious part is that the rich seem to have all of the republican sheep doing their fighting for them. Ive never seen so many low income low educated people fighting for a group of people that dont give two shits about them. Do you really think that the guys at the top really want you to take a peice of their pie? Noooo, they just tell the drones, "If our taxes go up we wont be able to hire" HA. no thanks, sorry not drinkin that koolaid.
Honestly, their should be a law (at least on this board) that says, if you dont make over $250,000 individual salary, then you dont get to say anything about that tax bracket, or the tax breaks for that bracket.
I can guarantee 99% of you on this board dont make nearly that much.

Tom does make some decent points in this if you skip past the rhetoric.

It has been shown to be the nature of the wealthiest 1% to do nothing good for the little guy. It seems they sit in their ivory towers disconnected from what is going on around them. But that is just human nature I guess.

lol, please give a few examples.

meh, deleted a bunch of stuff. It was good though, trust me.
Well actually it wassn't all that good:

lol, please give a few examples. What the fuck are we supposed to discuss if you don't provide links or articles backing up your rediculous statements? And don't link anything from fox news or rush limbah, those retards don't know whether they came in on foot or horseback.
You want to talk about a party that fell apart, how about the republicans? they are controlled by extremists (teabaggers) and refuse to compromise when it's most important to do so. They don't do squat for their base, yet have convinced most of them that they are. Or they distract them from things that matter, like the sunk economy, let me think, oh yeah, the god damned decade long war that's been leeching us dry for what? Bullshit, that's what. They have polorized the party enough that moderate republicans aren't welcome in normal activities. They are useful when you build up that head of steam to kick out democrats though, I'll give them that. It's one sign of solidarity. But that's about it.
I bet that's not really what you wanted to hear, but hows this: By too long, do you mean 2 years? lol, republicans. You loose your memory the second someone like you takes office.

That's all you got? LOL

I didn't want to load any info on the start of this thread, it was an open discussion based on the in-party fighting going on with the Dems and Obama.

Back up my ridiculous statements? All I did was ask a question, go figure.

Tea baggers are extremist? Compared to what? SEIU, New Black Panther Party, KKK, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Gore, etc? The Tea Party is only trying to protect you, me and every other legal citizen of this country from an over reaching, over bearing government who doesn't really give a shit about the average middle class or poor. That makes them extremist? Or is that something you were taught to believe by an extremist left wing group? The left tried their damn best to frame or bring to light extremist Tea Party members and failed. Ask your self why. Could it be because they are the real heart and soul people of this country? I would much rather have Rush Limbaugh on my side than Obama, Reid & Pelosi.

Republicans refuse to compromise. What the hell have Obama Inc been doing for two years now??? Pelosi and Reid purposely blocked Republican ideas and bills from ever hitting the floor for debate or view in the public eye. They shoved Bill after Bill down the throats of the American people who made it very clear they were against them. Hmmm, hostile take over of your life is what you want?

I'm not extremely happy with all Republicans either. Haven't lost my memory one bit. The sooner we can get away from this "two-party b.s. of a system" the better we'll all be. Vote for what that person believes, not what party they belong to. I'm glad the Tea Party is here to stay for now, it's woken a lot of people up.

So look around, have all of these socialist entitlement programs that have been going on for decades made for a better or worse America? Be honest,...................

Funny that the dems only mention debt when it's attached to a tax cut. How about all of the other deficit spending like the stimulus that didn't create one net job?
This ^^^

Reminds me of 2008 when the republican party fell apart. They came back as even bigger douche bags.
I'm sorry, did they make Chris Matthews cry?
