Tomorrow planning on picking up a new TV.
I am torn between two TVs.
First one (my current favorite)
Samsung PN50C550G1F
1080p, 50", 600hz, great reviews, $760 open box at best buy.
Second one
Panasonic P50S20
Same Specs, Same Price at Ultimate Electronics open box as well.
The only problem i have with this TV is the look of it. I know it sounds stupid but the Samsung looks a lot better and more quality, the surround around the screen is glass instead of the plastic surround of the Panasonic, The stand is also metal/glass.
I dont care about speakers (which seems to be the reviews downfall of the set) because i have surround sound.
I would like to stay under $800 and both of these sets are in great condition (nothing that i can see wrong with them).
Not looking for any internet connectivity or any bells and whistles, (3d is worthless to me as first of all my son would never keep the glasses on and if you dont have enough glasses it makes it really stupid to get it, ill save that for when i have a true home theater set up with projector etc, and when my son is older).
