1.25" thick. I would hang that sucker on the wall. The other one you were lookin at was 2 7/8" thick.

My need of building credit has gotten me looking at TVs. They don't take too long to pay off and they still build credit.

I went to an Ultimate and talked to a guy there. He was really set on trying to sell me the 58" Panasonic plasma, since I wanted a 3D ready TV. He kept pointing out that the colors were so much more vivid. But being a photographer I could tell the colors were way over saturated and asked him to show me what the contrast was at. He dodged the question.

Either way, when I started asking about burn-in, I hated hearing what I heard. I'm more of a turn it on and don't worry about anything person. For example, when I had a boob tube I didn't play with magnets next to it just to see if the colors would permanently get stuck. Kind of like I'd be doing with COD on a plasma, with the map and equipment staying in one spot. What if I forget to turn it off at the main menu because I had to run out the door?

either way its going on the wall, i dont really care about thickness, but features/quality/price savings are where its at.
But im almost thinking that if one samsung is on sale then the rest of them will be.

the LG 60pk750. Went to the sears showroom last night and looked at it. Its a georgeous TV. Picture quality is great, features are nice, THX Certified. I saw this on blackfriday.info on the sears ad for $1499.99. And last night i was doing a crap ton of research on the AVSForums where they have a pk750 owners thread. Seems a lot of people love the out of the box performance of this set. Minor bugs here and there include high light performance with glare. but at the same time that doesnt really matter as this will be in a dimly lit room with very little natural light.
During my research, i noticed something... Amazon.com has this set RIGHT NOW for $1565.00, No Tax, No Shipping charges.... So doing the math i realised that if i were to buy it from sears i would actually be paying over $1650 after tax, plus they said it would take 2 weeks to get the set in, (even though its going to be in their ad). With amazon, their shipping says 3-5 business days and its in stock. So i said fuck sears, i went on pricegrabber.com, and did a quick search and found the above site, for $1497 no shipping no tax. So i will be doing that. YAY.
Oh and most stores do not seem to carry the 58 and above sizes in stock, most have to be ordered.

Nice work tom!.... I just picked one up yesterday as well. Was on break and saw the back of the star trib had a Ultimate Electronics ad for yesterday and today, and I got the last 58" panasonic plasma for $1098 in minnetonka yesterday! I'm just glad I got a good deal and don't have to camp out all night at best buy!
