Well, some of you already know, some don't, but yesterday afternoon I picked up a 2006 Evolution IX MR with 44k miles on it.

The car got tuned on Friday from Ron @ RS. It made 317 HP and 336 TQ on his mustang dyno, I figure that should be right around the 300-310 mark at DB. I'm not gonna get into any bench racing though...
Mods When I got it:
-Intake (Injen tube/Amsoil filter)
-Injen hard intercooler pipes
-Invidia 3" Turboback exhaust w/ test pipe
-Exedy HD Twin Disk clutch
-Blitz Electronic boost controller (this will eventually be going away in place of a DB MBC)
-Swift spec-R springs on stock Bilsteins (perfect combo OMG)
-Solid shifter bushings
-GReddy Turbo Timer
-Good old 92 octane pump gas
-It also has this GFB "Deceptor pro" box, I looked it up and it was for a Go-Fast Bits electronically controlled BOV. This car has a IX BOV right now, so it must be leftover from a previous owner.
Mods as of 1/17/11:
-Injen intake
-Injen upper intercooler pipe
-Injen lower intercooler pipe
-Invidia 3" Turboback exhaust w/ test pipe
-Exedy HD Twin Disk clutch
-Blitz Electronic boost controller (this will eventually be going away in place of a DB MBC)
-Walbro 255HP
-Swift spec-R springs on stock Bilsteins (perfect combo OMG)
-Shifter base bushings
-GReddy Turbo Timer
-Good old 92 octane pump gas
-AEM analog wideband gauge
-AEM analog 35psi boost gauge
-MAPerformance mini battery

Also, Brembo's aren't faded and neither is the CF portion of the wing. :D
I do have a short list of things I would like to do sooner rather than later.
1) The shifter feels kind of spongy at times in 1st gear, I talked to Ron at RS about this since he just tuned the car on friday, and he adjusted the shifter cables, but thinks they may need replacing. From what I found in a quick search, they only cost like $90, but sounds like they may be kind of a PITA to install. I already knew about this, and Ron has worked on the car before (he installed clutch) and he said 100% this is what it is. I'm really not worried at all.
2) De-wing/de-badge the trunk. I want to do this right, so I will either buy a already de-winged apex silver trunk, buy a silver lancer trunk (If the colors match up, I haven't looked into that yet) or get a spare trunk to use while mine gets the holes filled
3) The onwer previous to the guy I bought it from also had a big system in the car and he decided to leave all his wiring behind. That shouldn't be too hard to get it all back out, at least he this way I know the job will be done the right way.
4) Drive this sucker and enjoy it!!! This car is an absolute hoot to drive coming from the Auto WRX. I love being back in a manual transmission car, that WRX was the first Auto I had ever owned and I kind of hated it after about the first year or so of owning it. Reverse may take a while to get used to with the 6 speed, but that's no biggie. Other than that, I just plan on enjoying this car!!
