Needs to be bead rolled for doing boozt leak tests.

Let's look at some intakes by some of the other major manufacturers out there:

Looks like AMS is off on their own there. I'm for anything that doesn't add another 2-4 weeks to getting my intake. My build is already epic. ;)

I say no to both. I've never had an intake pipe with a lip on my 2G or 1G.

imo not necessary, but doesn't hurt having everything a bit more sturdy.

I like to see people thoughts and as halon said I have never had an intake with bead rolled ends. Shane makes a good point about the boost leak test.

Honestly, the first thing I noticed when I picked it up was...no bead rolls? But I didn't think it was absolutely necessary, but people make some good points.

Boost leak tests, vibration, misaligned fitment (we've all been there)... The list goes on. There's no reason not to have a bead rolled on intake pipes.
