Sad. I used to live down that way (Pensacola) and sad to see the beaches I used to hang out at look like this now.

^^^
I used to live in Fort Walton Beach and that sand is sugar white, or at least it was before this.
Where's the EPA? Why aren't they shutting down these beaches? It's been reported that people are getting ill from doing the clean up, wild life is dieing, seems logical that anybody exposed to this is at risk.
Seriously, go dump 1 gallon of used motor oil in your back yard and let the EPA find out about it.

The EPA is too busy debating where the sand used for berms is coming from, the unions are blocking non-unionized labor, and the government isn't allowing international skimmer ships to assist. Pure genius.

Wow yeah I used to go there. We used to go to P'cola beach, Destin, Ft. Walton, Panama City. Just makes it worse for me that it is happening to the very same beaches I used to enjoy 9 years ago.

This was posted on another forum and it's definitely something everybody should read regarding that well. :scared:
It's a long read, but you should read it.
This might be the main reason why Obama hasn't suspended the Jones Act to allow other nations to send in skimmer ships to help out. By doing so we might find out things are much worse than they are letting on to. Wonder why BP and the White House are keeping details close and not really saying much about anything? :madashell:

Subject: BP - NO LONGER HIRING CAJUNS
British Petroleum announced today that they will no longer hire Cajuns to help in the cleanup. Thiobodeaux, Boudreaux and Fontenot were told to clean as many brown pelicans as they could…..
So far, Thibodeaux has cleaned and gutted over 56 birds while Boudreaux made the roux and Fontenot cooked the rice.

Small businesses aren't getting the compensation from BP that they need to stay afloat. Bills are piling up but their income is all but gone. Now the government is denying small business loans that some of these businesses need to stay alive in the meantime, when in fact most of the businesses would qualify for the loan based on credit and repayment history.

Here's my prediction:
BP is moving their assets around and getting ready to file bankruptcy of their North American operations. If and when this happens, Obama Inc. will seize BP's North American assets (what's left of them) and take control of BP's pipeline from Alaska. Basically getting a backdoor take over of the oil industry.

Never thought of that, that's definitely some food for thought. Seems realistic.
