The flash does bring out a very small amount of the red in the carpet. Normal lighting conditions is undetectable. Still trying to figure out a game plan with the seating.

I was thinking of maybe keeping the red on the outer part of the seats, and just have the insert section (the seating area) redone w/ black Alcantara or other durable synthetic suede. But I would like to do the headrest elimination like in my 2nd attached photo, as it cleans up the seat and makes it more like a race seat.

Mike, I may be interested in those bottom door carpets, I'm still on the fence of getting rid of all the red or keeping a few outlines.

I like those seats better without the headrests. They don't look nearly as....80's-ish. LOL

Little side project I've had working on... Since I have a ix MR (aluminum roof) I can not mount a bike rack on it. I recently picked up a Yakama rack from WiDSM.org for a pretty killer price, & in good shape.

I've modified it a little to be able to transport my boy's modified Lightning Mcqueen power wheels around (I may start a project tread just for that, lol). Now I can take him anywhere now with his car pretty easily. Only takes about 5 minutes to mount and strap it down, this thing is mounted SOLID.

That shit is pimp! Is there any way you can crank them things up? My son has a little JD Gator. Thing scoots for a 1.5 yr old, but in a year or two he may want more :p

Easiest way is to bump up to 18v if it is a 12v model. Mcqueen was a 12v stock, he is now up to 18v & it moves pretty good now with no reliability issues at all. My son learned how to drive before he learned how to ride a bike LOL.

The next round of upgrades is currently shipping via UPS, & will be putting them in this weekend.

The best place I've found is http://forum.modifiedpowerwheels.com/

Yeah, no real changes lately other than new rubber and a few interior changes - covered the ribbed sections between dash and center console w/ the faux alcantara. Thinking of adding a ef1 when the 14b starts to go. Mostly saving money for evo mods.

I don't know why I didn't check this out earlier. I've got pretty much the same plan for mine, updating via Evo type parts. I'll have to check out the online interior place, I'm planning on doing the interiors in both my Lotus and DSM with that synthetic suede. Keep the updates coming.

http://www.yourautotrim.com/suheobl.html is where I picked up the headliner material. Nice quality stuff not expensive at all, had enough leftover to do my boy's lightning mcqueen interior LOL.
