I've heard about it, wouldn't be able to tell ya what work would be involved in swapping the mas though. 2g bov's suck, just get a 1g bov, they're proven to work. My car saw 24psi on a 16g, with a crushed 1g bov, and it never leaked on me.

Check out starquestclub.com, should find the info you need there.

24 psi on stock internals? id be afraid to boost that much on my stock internals. i wouldnt go past 13... idk maybe it could handle more. i have looked on starquestclub.com im still gray in a few areas about a 1g mas swap though. i guess i would try to keep the starion mass and just run a 1g bov if you think thats gunna work good.. not trying to spend 230 on a new one

Is the BOV you have adjustable? maybe it could be tightened? maybe its gummed up with oil and could just use some TLC? maybe its junk. Any BOV will work, but all the brands have their own flanges.

yea its got the bolt and nut on it that can be adjusted.... i opened it up to take a look and it has the rubber insert and everything looked fine... idk its way old. but i would need a bov the can be recirc'd so that would be any bov?

You can use a BOV on a stock car and not recirculate it. It won't really hurt anything. The main thing is to get it running right before modding it. With an 86, you have to be careful about hitting fuel cut. Sign up at starquestclub.com and ask as many questions as you can, they will help you get it all set up right before mods or with the mods you have currently.

Try screwing the adjustment shaft into the BOV some more to tighten it up. Some BOV can be recirculated and some can't. If you don't recirculate it, it's going to have issues dying when you let off.
