Dog box, ftw. heh, I just roasted the scm61 again. disposable trannys, disposable turbos. Shit all wears out fast at 500-600hp.

I use the Redline Heavy Shock proof in my rear-end. I will have to call Shep and get some suggestions. I just don't like the idea of "disposible transmissions" lol... Time for a new platform? Sell me your blown up stage 3 :)

I don't know, I would at least ask Shep what went wrong... As a transmission performance business, I am sure that they would like to know. It is not everyday that something like that happens. That way they can prevent whatever went wrong. That looks like it needed a scatter shield

It is supposed to take the HP. 3 years and only 15,000 miles isn't that much.
That is if you weren't beating on it and grinding every gear. But it sounds like you wanted a good reliable trans

For two or three years the car made 200hp and I drive it 75% like a granny and 25% beating the hell out of it. It has seen many launches and stuff. I know how to row through the gears without grinding or being a dumbass?
Only in the last year, definately less than 10,000 miles, more like 7,000 of dynojet corrected 400ft-lbs and 520awhp. I bought this tranny thinking it would last, unrealistically, like, forever lol.

wtf, mate.

I would be in the same boat as you. If I spent that much money on a tranny that's supposed to hold my power, I would expect it to last the life of the damn car haha. Given you take care of it and shift it correctly. Which it sounds like you have..

Kevin, you should be thanking Shep your trans lasted three years.

Damn am I glad my dsm's gone.

I destroyed my TRE tranny on it's 3rd pass down the track. Fixed it then it ripped apart on the dyno after a few pulls.

My TRE trans is still here, I got it because I was scared my $20 trans wouldnt make it down to TX, I am a dumbass.

My TRE is amazing falls into gear with ease, held up to launches and highway runs just fine and the taller 5th has given me a noticable mpg increase plus it still pulls if you ever need to shift into 5th lol

The transmission worked great for a very long time. Only in one day did things go bad.

Why should I be happy my tranny lasted three years, 2/3s at stock power levels, and 1/3 at double stock power levels?
