I live close enough to school that I don't need a car
Sounds like you should wait and then pick up a 'mostly stock' IX. That'd be a great base to work from. There are times that I wish I went that way.

It isn't hard to pay cash for a $2000 DSM. :)
My wife uses her Amex for cash back like that on business travel, but I hate it when people use rewards cards at my shop. :) Since the rewards actually get paid by us. Credit card companies don't pay for shit, fraud falls on the shop/store, reward cards are paid for by jacking the percent we pay in fees when we accept one of those cards. With the amount they make on transaction fees alone, they shouldn't need to charge interest.

Hope we never used one at your shop when getting tuned :D I *think* I tried to be careful about that and used our check card...but I could be wrong. If so, I owe you a cheese pizza.

Bank/issuer really only makes money on the interest.
Visa/MC/etc takes a percentage on each transaction, basically fixed
The acquirer (or processing company) negotiates the individual rates a store will pay for each type of transaction. Whatever Visa/MC doesn't take, they keep.
I've been trying to pay people in cash lately, just withdraw the amount before I go to pay, stick it to the credit card companies, haha.
Oh and on-topic - please buy my Talon that was linked :) Or an Evo would be a good choice.

I mostly use the AmEx with online purchases (Paypal, Amazon) since a lot of places don't take them.
I know a few people that run businesses that whine about the fees but they can choose to not take cards or raise their prices to whatever the market will support. They have control over their incomes moreso than I do...

We have to take them regardless, it's part of being a business. The Amex corporate cards are the worst as far as fees.

im just waiting for all businesses to say we've had it. We are no longer accepting any forms of payment other than cash. Just like they did with Checks.
