Never said I was buying one. Just always liked/wanted his. no matter how much I dont want to buy another or probably shouldnt buy another, I more than likely will buy another.
That's how every dsm owner is. Should get a 2g though. Already have a 1g lol.

Dsmlink lite or v3 (have a feeling I'll go over the limits that lite has)
I am running lite in the evo since it is the only thing for it right now and it works great. I am running alot more than you plan on doing so it will be fine for you also. Hell I am running 1600cc,e85 and a pte67 on the car right now and it is handling it just fine

The 6 or 5 point roll bar(6 point is with and a 5 point is with out a passanger side door bar) is needed at 11.49 ET and up to 135mph in the 1/4 mile. The 8 point roll cage with or with out a passanger side door bar is good to a 8.50 or 150mph.
the 6 point roll bar can be either mild steel or chrome moly tube. mild steel would need to be 1 3/4" .120" wall DOM tube (drawn on mandrel). Mild steel joints can be MIG or TIG welded, with ER70s filler rod/wire. Chrome moly would need to be a 1 3/4 OD and .083" wall DOM tube. Any joint with Chrome Moly in it needs to be TIG welded using ER70s filler rod.
The 8 point cage with or with out a passanger door bar needs to be made from 1 5/8" OD .120" wall DOM mild steel, again MIG or TIG welded. Or Chrome Moly of 1 5/8" OD and .083" wall DOM can be used, again any joint with chrome moly needs to be TIG welded.
I recommend with stock style seats for the car to have the door bar on the driver and/or passanger side removable or a swing out. But if you have a high sided race seat the door bar can make it easier to get in/out of the car if you know what to do.
I think most people that complain about or hate a roll bar/caged vehical is riding in a car where it is either not installed properly or the cage is not design around you, the driver. Which is the hole point of a roll bar/cage, to save the driver.

Anyone know some good places to buy roll cage kits? I am looking for something more along the lines of a kit with the bars already pre-bent and fitted to the car. All I would want to do is weld the bars together. I am looking for a 6 point cage for a 2g awd where the door bars would go inside the door frame. The doors will be gutted so I would rather have the extra space.
