Awesome project Andrew!

We should do one of our high compression 2.4 builds for this one...

I assume you are familiar with Jason Tanin's Lil' Evo? (http://www.lilevo.com/)

IIRC, he even made a video on doing the 4g6x + awd swap to the CSM.

Yeah... and I own that DVD because I was trying to figure out how you would mount the rear sub frame. The information is good in it

However he put a label on the CD and all of the DVD/computers are having a hard time playing it...

The high compression 2.4L is the engine plan because I really don't own a 4g63 motor but I have most of the parts to make the 2.4 build.

Low end torque+low weight car+AWD= should be fun! or I am still going to brake stuff.. we will just have to see.

This whole car is going to be a mutant of hack together parts! MUhahaha!

So to keep update, I installed the new Honda radiator into the car. The old rad had a leak in it and sprayed antifreeze on the exhaust manifold when it was warmed up. Put on a new thermostat.

The car warms up, keeps a SOLID temp and doesn't overheat! I am very happy with it.
I haven't installed the electric fan yet. I want to build a shroud for it and bolt the fan to the shroud.
I don't know if I should use those zip ties on the radiator or not. I really don't want to. I think the fan shroud should work better.

Nothing big but now I feel better about driving longer distances and not needing to carry a gallon of antifreeze.

Just to note, I love those snow tires on that car. The car handles really well in the snow. It is actually one of the best cars I have driven in the snow (the eclipse AWD had street tires on it)

Now it is time for some Ice/snow Racing!

So this isn't a big HP thread or Lets lighten the car with tube frames

However I did manage to do another upgrade using factory mitsu parts

I have a 4g15 engine

I swapped in a ECU from a 4g37 1.8L
Also the 210cc injectors
MAS
And 50mm TB (tried a 60mm but the engine didn't like it at all)

Everything swapped over really simple and the engine feels like it has a little more power. It idles a lot better! Probably because the Idle Air Controller was shot on the 4g15

The manifold looks strangely like a Ford Probe 2.2L Turbo
Hmm....

So they make a kit also but I think I can do it for much less then that, plus I have so many spare parts laying around.

I just want to state that this isn't right at ALL!!! but it is kind of fun...

*pointing out for all the 4g63 people I do have all the stuff I need to swap in a 4g63/or 64 motor when I blow this one up.
