Great, he probably could have gone faster with something else. Don't be like Bushcur ;) Just b/c something goes X et @ Y mph in the quarter-mile doesn't make it good.
Ask shane about them then. He had another customer with them who picked up 272ish power.

i still haven't heard any reasons why?
X2, I can see you all hate them, but what's the reasoning?

Regrinds require shims under the lifters.

(I know they use shims to compensate)
Got that. Are shims the reasoning behind all this hate? I also know from reading graveyards description, is that they machine off some of the bottom of the lobes, to change the profile of the cam.

Just give Delta a call, regrinds are less than $100 each after the cores are sent back; or you can get brand new ones for $300 a pair. They probably make the cams you're talking about anyways; supposedly they do the ffwd cams, ffwd just charges a lot more since so many people don't know about Delta. http://www.deltacam.com/

I say do what ya want here man. Brad had great success with them and I was just talking to Shane about these the other day and he said there have been a handful of cars to make good power on them also. I haven't heard anything bad about them, maybe someone can provide some reasoning behind all this hate ...

The DKS regrinds are actually pretty good. They make some good top end power, their "272" cams blow away most 272 style cams. I thought the same thing that since they were regrinds that they must suck. But after a few cars that came in with them made unusually good power and didn't have any wear or other problems, we started using them on customer cars who didn't want to spend big money on cams (BC cams are inexpensive too, but usually dissappointing) and one of our own DSMs.

If I was a baller I'd probably pick up a different cam, but for the price you can't really beat them.
I say pick a set up. I like my DKS regrinds and would rather spend money I saved on cams else where.
Also shimming isn't very hard. The DKS ones you just throw a little washer under the lifter, which is easy if you're already in there swapping cams.
