So, just a bsing thread to get this off my mind. I have a beautiful car, at least I think so, and take very good care of it. I just got a new bumper and FMIC. I don't want to drill into the bumper, and put a goofy looking plate holder there, and I sure as hell don't wanna block my flow to the IC. Now in the past month I have gotten 2 tickets for the plate being in the dash while the damn car was parked in the street. Don't cops have rapers or killers to catch, or hookers or something??? U can't see that the car has had hard work put into it and money spent on it, and that the plate is in the dash for that reason? Why don't u go pull over one of those jackasses with a vette or ferrari or any other vehicle with no plate at all?? haha
anyhow, i have now gotten a warning for the plate, as well as the 2 tickets... anybody have a good way to get the plate on the front of the car without obstructing the IC, or having it smackdab in the middle of the bumper?

I hate to say it but the plate in the window is just as illegal as no front plate but putting it there tells the cops you know its illegal but don't want it on your front bumber. as for mounting it I think there are a few people on here who have gotten creative and can help you out

Do the crime, do the time. Put the plate on correctly, or don't even display it at all. Putting it in your dash is going to draw more attention to it than if you didn't have it showing anywhere.

plus when you don't have it your dash you can play dumb and you're more likely to get let off with a warning

I have not had a front plate for pretty much as long as I have owned the evo which is about 2 years. I have only gotten pulled over once for no front plate and I talked myself out of that ticket along with tint and exhaust. Cops will pull you over for anything they can, its there job to hand out citations for illeagle stuff.

yeah I haven't had one on my car since I bought it and I've had it for almost 2 years and have been pulled over 8 times for it with no tickets so far (knock on wood) but as soon as I get one I'll pay it and suck it up and put the bugger on

This is yet another worthless law IMO along with tint, etc. I don't run a front plate either and some 2-sided tape and a picture work perfectly to bring in to court to get the ticket thrown out :D I've used 2-sided tape for fix-it tickets too and never had a problem.

ha I never even thought about that. I might have to give it a try when I do finally get a ticket
