Sitting at work on the 11th floor of the TCF Bank Tower downtown, had just started my first big IT job a week or two prior. The internet quickly became useless as every news site was being flooded so we turned to radio and a tiny black and white TV someone had at their desk. We were sent home as they closed the IDS Building (across the street from us) and a few adjacent building. There was hardly any traffic on the roads.

I'm the token old-guy in this crowd. I was 29 and working at MPR in downtown St Paul. Since I was on a fitness kick at the time, I was at the gym and I saw the commotion on the TV as soon as I got in to work. I walked around pretty stunned for a few hours...I think everyone had that reaction.

I was in Mr. Kopp's graphic design class, a junior in high school. One of my buddies came in the room and said that there was a bombing in the WTC (not really knowing what was going on), Mr. Kopp tryed to get everybody to sit down and nobody listened, about 5 minutes later everyone in the school was hudled around every TV in the school. Nothing really got done that day as everybody was kind of in shock. One year and two months later, I joined the Army on my 18th B-Day. (Mom didn't want me to so I couldn't when I was 17) I now have a 9/11 theme sleeve tattooed on my left leg, it's a work in progress.

HAHA i was in a behavior modification program. They tolds us a bunch of BS about how the whole country was under attack and how they were going to start the draft again. It was my only time in the 2 years i was there that we ever saw the news

12th grade Biology AP class and they said it was no big deal so they didn't let us watch it until the Pentagon got hit.

I just started my job at Winmark, second day on the job. People just sort of stood around and tried to watch reports online and crammed around the few TVs we had in the office. I left at lunch and went home to watch on CNN, being so new and with everything going on that day I don't think anyone knew I had even left.

I was in 11th grade.. Don't remember which class I was in for sure because pretty much the whole day was spent watching the news in every class. Looked like it was a movie playin when the buildings fell.. looked so unreal. :(
