you need a roll bar and when you hit 10.99 you need a roll cage
I assume that roll 'bar' is a 4 point and 'cage' is a 6 point? My car won't ever be that fast but I was thinking about putting in a 4 point just for belts.

technicaly it's a roll bar till you get a 10 pt. Then you have the door pillar bars and a halo bar, making it more of a CAGE. I read that a parachute is now required or will be next year for 135mph traps. Not sure if it's true yet or not, but discussing it with a track official at brainerd he said he wouldn't put it past NHRA to require that. Most people who race spend more time and money keepin up with the rules, then with upgradin and testing their cars.

as for the chute everything I can find is you don't need one untill you are trapping 150mph or faster but I couldn't find any info on them changing that so it may be possible

A roll bar is a 5 or 6 point, depending on NHRA or IHRA. Most people do a 6-point regardless. Just don't get some auto-x bolt-in style 4 point and expect it to be legal for drag racing. There are specific and strict rules for drag cages.
For the last 5 years or so there have been rumors and talk of a 135mph for a parachute rule, but we will see if they ever actually implement it.

Moved benchracer's league here for now from dyno day thread. There's already a topic about it :)

They don't like bolt in cages/bars. Base plate must also be 6x6". Door bars must meet th main hoop between the driver's shoulder and elbow. Harnes bar may not be any farther above the driver' shoulder, and should be a bit below it, but no more then 45 deg. below. Etc etc etc..

Run the cars if u run the time then maybe u get kicked out.
RF is pretty chill so swifty and anyone that thinks they might be close head there.
RF is way better in every apart from the longer drive, but u will run quicker.

Well I vote for CFR, but if nobody else is willing to drive there I will make the trip to RF on Sunday.
Swifty, that's MUCH further for me than you going to CFR. 340 for me vs 200 for you. I'll give you $10 in gas money to come to CFR, plus you'll have a better ET most likely.
