That is a bummer. Sad to see on an original paint car. But at least is fixable.

Mr. Slowbubblecar is right, you hit the deer, sorry. And it sucks, but it's only a fender and a door. No glass was even broken. Was it Bambi?

I think it was Rudolph falling from the sky..
Think of this.. You're chillin just checkin out you're car. Out of no where a deer jumps out and runs into you're car. Were you the one that hit the deer?

Pretty much same thing happened to me, I was in town where ive never ever saw a deer before. I look up and there it is, I swerved but I clipped it and put a hand print size dent. I had insurance though so a fairly cheap fix, sucks though for sure
That sucks, looks like your car was in excellent shape.
This is a long shot but try a heat gun on it. I doubt it will work but you maybe able to get it closer... Works wonders in plastic, not sure about thin metal.
Does the door rub the fender now?

Yes to the above comment, but it sounds like that wasn't the case. Our response to you hitting it vs it hitting you was reflecting the information stated in your first post which said:
"I was driving 40mph going the speed limit looking forward for any pot holes (bent my rim on this same road) then all of a sudden there is a deer in my face smacking the windshield."
Hitting it vs being hit doesn't matter to me. I am just clarifying why people think you hit it vs it hitting you.
Front end damage = car hit deer. Side/fender/door damage = deer hit car. Disregard if drifting.
I had a deer hit the side of my Talon at a full run a while back. There were no survivors.

How the heck is a heat gun going to pop out a metal dent? lol wtf
It looks the you just have to replace the fender, look how bent up it is where it meets the door. Not sure if that one can ever be PDRed back to look 100% perfect.
Sucks that you have to match a new one now. :(

that door jamb it fixable with a long screwdriver and some rags, just bend it into shape.

Heat from a torch can massage a dent but then you risk ruining the paint. I said I doubt it would work but he could try a heat gun, it would be safer on the paint and would be an easy thing to try.
Where the dender meets the door is a very weak spot and can be bent quite easily with the fender off. Would be a lot of guessing and checking to get it to work but could be done.
If the dent on the door is infront of the handle, that doesn't look easy. Looks like one of those you will push out/pop back in type of dents. Need the metal to contract.
