So, saturday I beat the crap out of my car, and yesterday I went to put it back in storage for a while, and when I got on it in third to watch the boost gauge, it hit a fuel cut type of thing, but I'm not sure what RPM it was, since my eyes were elsewhere.

It did it more after that, but it seems to be near peak boost (over 15psi). I haven't touched anything related to that in the AEM, and the boost controller was working fine saturday (5th gear pull had no problems), and a quick look over the engine bay showed no vacuum hoses blown off which caused a similar problem before.

Couple questions then:

First, none of you dudes touched anything on my car while I wasn't looking on saturday, did you? haha, j/k.

And B, why would doing nothing from one day to the next cause a problem to spring up?

And it was definately a fuel cut, not a rev limiter, since it would do it pretty much at full throttle.... ohhh, could my tps need to be reset? would that cause the AEM to freak out a bit?

could it just be a boost leak? maybe a coupler loosened up or something random like that? that would be my first guess. if your venting i would check after the airflow sensor

That's what it sounds like to me, do a boost leak test, then move on from there.

loose/faulty plug wire possibly? I would check all ignition connections, then boost leak test it..

Ok, I don't think a boost leak would even affect the system, the map and temp sensors are in the intake manifold. But good suggestions, thanks! If you think of any others, like common DSM problems, let me know.

could be a kink, or leak in the vac line to the boost gauge, or a collapsed one going through the firewall. I know I had issues on multiple occasions with the tiny clear line supplied with autometer boost gauges collapsing

if that's the case, the boost might be higher than it's actually reading, thus, your hitting fuel cut.

How did the car feel (power-wise) compared to before?

Pretty good actually, pretty normal. It was holding constant boost on the gauge though.

could be a boost leak holding boost or not, just need a small one, so youll hold your normal boost but your turbo is actualy pushing out alot more than its supposed to be, its just getting bled off

yeah, well, it's going to wait for a while since I'm going out of town for a few days again, maybe it'll be a good little conquest and fix itself as it has in the past.

Boost cut is set at 19psi in the tune I have for your car.
