Because I have a feeling it will slightly affect bearing clearances, which I'd rather try to avoid.

I didnt get that crank ready for you to check out today since I worked alot later then expected but am trying to have it ready by Thursday night for ya.

with a ground crank you get alot more bearing thickness. bearings arent as hard as cranks so they add squish room. in a stroker if you add a thicker bearing it allows the crank to have room to wiggle at high horsepower and rpms!

Why take the chance with a turned crank when you can get a perfect stock spec one and know it is good. If the regrind is off just ever so slightly then that was a big waste of money and time. Halon go for a stock spec, NON-ground crank. He has the time to find one since it is not anywhere near winter yet and that is when he wanted to do the 2.3 by what I understood.

Hard to tell, but i would bet you can get buy with a polish, but if your worried about it just get it ground and use race bearings, most shops wont run them with hardened cranks anywase.

I still wouldnt take a chance when pushing 550-600+ hp like it seems that he will be running.
