So was at long lake the other day, water was cold, so I wasnt planning on going in at all. Just got done with a nice game of beach football (which my team dominated) and was standing near the water. Some d-bag goes and pushes me in, not knowing my iphone was in my side pocket. So to sum things up, it wont turn on....and I am pissed. Thing was pretty much my life, kept me in contact with possible jobs and allowed me to browse the internet for jobs (unemployed by the way).

What I am asking, is if anybody on the site knows a damn thing about fixing these bad boys, or can just give me a solid "its f**ked" so i know to move on. Dont have tools to take it apart, so its just chilling in some rice now.

Oh and if anyone has a spare internet capable tmobile phone they feel like donating to the ME fund, that would be insanely cool.

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

It is f'd. Mine got a little wet and the touchscreen stopped responding to contact. It turned on and off fine, just couldn't do anything. Apple put a little indicator inside the headphone port that turns pink once it's wet so they don't have to warranty it for water damage.

Cost me $200 to replace it at the store, and they were able to save everything since mine still turned on. They might be able to pull out the memory and stuff to put it onto the new phone. Or if you've backed it up on your computer you should be fine.

Get it open somehow, solder in a new headphone port, warranty it.

Oh, and if he doesn't pay, grab his cell phone and put it into the blender until he pays. :)

My iphone is broken, won't get service anymore.

If you end up selling your old phone I'd be interested in buying it for parts. Let me know.

Play a little "will it blend?" haha. Dont want to go through that whole process of trying to get money, it wont happen. Just was wondering if we had any apple nerds (no offense) that no how to fart around with these things. Otherwise I have to live with using my crappy backup nokia, and save up.
