I would never buy an iPhone. They are just like the ipods, as soon as the warranty expires, the thing self destructs. My last ipod video was working fine. I sat it on my desk at home for 1 week not being used. Went to use it and the bastard wouldn't turn on. Brought it to the apple store and the hard drive was shot.

They must have some way to program these dam things to stop working after 13 months as similar issue have happened to my fiends ipods.

Mine was submerged in water for a good period of time, and is over a year old. Unless I have some burley iPhone that just needs a break to fix itself. I love my iPhone, use it all day, battery lasts me almost all of it, and can access all my social networking sites/ forums. Hell I can even use the shoutbox on this site. I'll buy another one for sure.

guess the other big downside is the replacability of the battery. I just got a phone a month ago from verizon. First thing I always do is go to ebay, order another wall charger (for work), extra battery, and a car charger. $12.99 shipped on ebay. If I am paying for a phone, I want to be able to use it at all times. Definitely couldn't have a phone with a battery life less than a day. I would be screwed on weekends.

From what I hear the ipod batteries start lasting ~2 days and drop quickly from there. I don't have any first hand experience, just know what my friends say.
