Well this weekend I went out to Gueningsman Auto, in Winsted MN, they have a inground dynojet, to dyno my 90 talon. This shop deals with truck pulling, NA 540 big blocks and make 750 at the rear wheels with only one carb. But my talon has the Galant shortblock in it, and stock head minus crower retainers, and HKS 272 cams. Same turbo as the galant, garrett T3/T4 60trim stg 3 .82A/R 4 bolt turbine housing. 3" dp with exaust cut out(hooks up to stock cat back for a quite ride), proper fuel, GM maft and 3" maf, AFC, big IC, 2.5" IC piping, 2g TB elbo, stock intake manifold, jidum GVR4 tranny. and my base timing set to 5deg. cams at 0. And my intake pipe fell off heading out there, so some one has a nice K&N air filer.

Pump gas made 415hp 366trq. A/F were good 11.2-11.5 range, no logger so I dont know if 24psi was to much, I think 22-23 would be better.

C-16 made 526hp 464 trq. I dont know A/F because there wideband would not read leaded gas that well, or atleast thats what they said. So I made no AFC setting changes I just turned the boost up, first pull blew the coupler off at the MAF holding 34psi, then I re-tighted all claps and at 35psi made the power above. Also I spun the tires on the dyno just befor it made peek power, a little smoke and rubber dust. There is a dip in the HP line right when this happend. I dont know what if any corrections were made. So now I get to go to Elite and tune the A/F on race gas and I hope to make a little more power with 34psi and a little more timing and less fuel.

Excellent numbers! Why did you go there first vs Elite? Just curious....

Well it was only 100 for an hour, and I did not know there wideband did not work with heavy leaded gas(ie VP c-16). So I dont think I will go back unless it just for pump gas, or sunaco 114 unleaded.

I will need it, I did find a nice set of rims and tires to barrow, for the track. I dont think walmart tires will take 530hp to well.

Congratulations. Your really pushing that turbo. What headgasket are you running? Whats up with the stock intake manifold? Didn't you have a sheetmetal one last year?

Sunoco makes a 114 unleaded?

John those are some nice numbers. It will be interesting to see what the A/F looks like on elite's dyno on c16. Those are some pretty big numbers for the MAFT, looks like the 3" GM MAF is fine for me.

How was the shop you dyno'ed at? What did they think of your car? I too would like to know what headgasket you are running?

Again, good job!

Damn it and here I felt all special cause I knew what you'd put down. And I was impressed with my self that I was actually keeping my mouth shut. (something that I've been trying to work on after that whole mod list ordeal) hey but at least something good came out of that ordeal. (mn 1/4 mayhem)

I believe John is just running a stock Mitsu headgasket. But not sure if it's the metal one or not?

Yes John will be big balling with the rims he's barrowing for the track.... Yep he wants to barrow my Chrome Duby Dubssss....... :liar: J/k...you can if you really want to. Might help slow down the wheel spin since they are so heavy... :bounce:
