Well, since everyone else I know is on this site I thought I would follow along and join too. Also since I am putting a 4g63 in to my 1941 chevy 2 door sedan I thought this place might be helpful and I wouldn't get yelled at as much for doing it. It wont be done till later this summer but already I am getting the engine dismantled and ready for some new parts. And as soon as my student loan comes in I will be looking for all sorts of parts to build this engine.

You are correct, we don't hate on 4G63 swaps here.
Welcome to the site!

It really wont be as nuts as you would think. Its not like i'm trying to swap in front wheel drive of anything. RWD is easy, you just fab two motor mounts and a tranny crossmember and you're pretty much done. Well the hard part of the swap will probably be wiring it all up. Plus I have to fix the floors and a few other places on the body, then take the body off and get the frame sand blasted and paint that up real good with some Chassis Black, then put a new front and rear end in it so it actually handles ok. Then it will be time for the swap. The whole premise of this car is to do something no one else is doing so this will become my daily driver. That means everything has to be protected from the evil salt as well.
Welcome! Sounds like a heck of a project!

I'm sorry but if you drive a classic 41 Chevy in the winter I will find you and slap you...
But seriously, a classic shouldn't be driven year round. Buy a Geo for winter.
