Both holes are 7CM, one was taller and much closer to the camera.
What do you think of my first time porting anything?
this is a MHI EvoIII

Looks good. Did you gasket match to make sure they flow perfectly?

The reason I ask is because the 7cm gasket isn't a 7cm diameter opening so I'm just making sure :D
What did you use for the porting work?

I used an air grinder with some stone bits, and a sanding bit to polish everything.
I would consider this a mild-medium port, I could have gone ALOT further on parts of the wall where it is thicker....I do not know the rule of thumb when it comes to thickness of walls on the hotside of the turbo, but i can assume that it should not be any thinner then the thinnest place on the casting, with that in mind, I could remove probably a pound of metal.

It's best to err a bit on the thick side for the exhaust housing since it gets very hot and is subject to cracking. It's more about having a smooth transition from the head to the exhaust manifold into the exhaust housing. Porting it out huge isn't necessarily a benefit. Porting out the exhaust manifold collector area and matching the exhaust housing is.
Looks good though.
