every compression gauge reads different, as long at they are all in 5-10psi of each other you're usually good.

lol, this thread is awesome.

Anywho, looks similar to my old numbers. Unless you are trying to get every ounce of power of the motor, don't worry about it and go have fun.
Also you always need more boost.

moar boost!

Nah, leave it, rock it. When the HG was leaking on my evo a few weeks ago, my numbers were: 182 175 180 175 :)

more boost. It solves everything.

You could always hone and re-ring.....or you could just turn up the boost.

Lower compression = safe to boost moar!

By the book the best the compression could be is 165 psi 7.8:1 pistons, service limit is ~110psi or if cylinders are not with in x% of each other. As long as it runs good, makes good power, etc I would not worry about it.

lower compression also mean's bad ring's possible bad hg or maybe something else. i would check for blow by. usually you should be at like 150-160

I need to emphasize that if you car runs fine, don't worry about it, you can have loads of fun (400AWHP+) on a stock block with badBAD blowby.

yes, the service manuals are saying 150PSI+ with a compression variation of 10%, but whatever, they are not running 30LBS of boost.

Leak down test. Maybe you'll get lucky and just need head work.

blow by is not a good thing. and more boost doesn't drop compression. it may be running fine now but who know's. mine ran perfect then one day bam there goes a head and i was having the same problem's with weird compression. you all can say "its fine run it" or "turn boost up while you can" im just gonna say that i told you so right now before your stranded on the side of the road with a trail of parts/fluids behind you.

if you fix this compression problem you will notice instant performance gains at the same boost level's
