The US is not a pure capitalist society, its already a mix between socialism and capitalism. That is all.

There are some clear links and commonalities to history that should at least be acknowledged. The fact we are already a mix is even more reason to just be aware of the risks and similarities. Pretending it can't happen is just blatantly ignoring history. It has nothing to do with parties. Just prudent concern.
