If it ends up being a problem, we have guns. We can fix the government. (I am not implying killing the people running the place, just removing them from power with force if necessary)

Take a chill pill. Let the man work. Then judge him by what he does, not just by what people say about him now.

As a combat vet from the iraqi campaign in 2004, I can honestly say that having a commander-in-chief who is able to formulate his sentences without stumbling and inventing words, is a major morale boost!

I would rather be swindled, misguided, lied to, and stolen from by an intelligent man then allow a retard from texas to continue to do the same.

Hasn't genome sequencing proved a common descent path for all living things?

I couldn't find anything linking evolution directly to genome sequencing.

I can't believe the idiocity of the repulicans. "nominate a democrat and lose your gun" The NRA is all about republicans. They put the fear in you that electing a democrat means all this loss of gun control sh*t. I followed much of the campaign trail since after the primaries and I don't remember Barak saying much if anything about guns. You realize what it would take to ammend the 2nd ammendment of the Consitution. John McCain lost, DEAL with it... Let Pres-Elect Obama do his job.

The election is over, quit your bitching about Obama. Like it or not, he is going to be our next president. I don't remember this "bitching" problem when Bush won back in 2004. I voted against Bush and you didn't see me bitching when he won.

Obama was the clear winner of the election. Nothing you post on here is going to change the results.

Yeah, he was the very clear winner, maybe McCain should of had some state do a recount for a week until Obama just gave in.

I think we need to judge Obama on his words and former actions, not what he might do. The guy in this article took what he heard Obama say and went a little further. I do fear for some of the legislation that Obama is going to try to push through. Honestly I hope he does a good job. But I am still fearful that he won't. He has said many things in his campaign that would lead us to believe he want a socialistic-style of government in place of our now capitalist government. Try living in a socialist state. You'll find out quickly how many rights you really had in this country before then. I've lived it before and I don't want to see this country go towards that. In some of Obama's rhetoric, he is proposing semi-socialism. If you don't believe me, take a look back at what he has preached over the last 6-8 months. And I'm not talking about taxes this time either ;) .

Truly take an unbiased look at the words that he has spoke over the entire campaign. I didn't particularly care too much for McCain, but I care even less for Obama. Now we have a democrat controlled congress AND a far left democrat president. Some of these more radical bills have a much better chance of getting pushed through than ever before. That's what scares alot of people right now, including me.

The other thing that scares alot of people about this particular issue (the Civilian National Security Force) is that Obama stated that he would want it to be funded as heavily as the current US military. These are words that come directly out of his mouth. This is not speculation (as I said earlier, we must judge him by his words and actions).

And as for bickering and bitching about it on a forum not going to change anything. No it won't change what has happened, but that is our free right as americans. We can voice our opinions in an open forum and let others do the same. We may not agree with each, but at least we can agree that each of us have our right to voice our opinion openly. As long as we are not acting to hurt each other, I don't see the harm in it. It does open eyes from time to time.

I believe we have to look at things with a completely open mind. There are some things that Obama has proposed that can and probably will help us. But there are also some things he has said and done that scare alot of americans. This is a pivotal time in history. We have just elected the first non-white president, we are in economic chaos and we are fighting multiple wars at the same time. Obama better do a good job, otherwise you will never see another color get into the White House ever again. This is a huge pair of shoes he has to fill. Let's pray that he can fill them.
