What % tint to get?

Well I'm finally get some tint done on the talon. I'm not sure what percent to go with. My last car I went with 20% and that was WAY too dark although I never got pulled over. Right now I'm thinking of 35% or 40%. Of course I want more of the 35 but I CANNOT get pulled over. I'm in enough trouble as it is right now. So what do you guys think? Is 40 not even dark enough to spend the money or will it still look pretty good. I do have black interior which I think will help a little. Also post up pics of your tint so I get ideas!

If you cannot get pulled over, then don't get tint at all. If you want it that bad, then just get 50%. It's the best compromise of dark and legal.

Ya ya but I still want it dark. So basically I just want a tint that looks dark enough to be noticed, but will not attract the attention from the cops.

50% then. I have 30% on my car and I've been pulled over 3 times in 2 years for it. Sucks.

Search in the body/appearance section for pics from our tint group buy last year of my wife's GLI w/ 50%, it looks good. Lots of guys got 35 and have been quite happy.

Seriously, if you don't want trouble, do 50.

Don't know if you remember what mine looked like, but mine is 30% on the back 3 windows and 35% on the front 2 (side windows). This isn't the best pic...but it gives you an idea

I thought of that but I personally don't like the change look. I think I'm just gonna man-up and get 35% all around. Hell I don't ever drive my car with the front windows up. I don't have a/c. I blame this on you scheides for making me look at the tint thread and wanting darker tint! haha.

Depending on the lighting.. 35 can be really dark, or not dark enough.
if you plan on getting tint after the cookout, take a look at my car (and others), that will help you decide

I'm getting it Wednesday of this coming week. I wanted it done before the cookout so my car will look nice and purddy.

I have 35% and am really happy with it; same as I had on the S2k and same as Janelle got on her WRX.

i had 35% percent and loved it, then got forced with violence to get it taken off.
