What % tint to get?

I would say 35% if you for sure dont want to get hasseled... I have 30% and love it, haven't been hasseled yet (knocks on wood!)

Yeah 35% will do good then cause urs is just a hair darker than i'd like. Thanks for the pics!

As someone that gets hassled a lot, i no longer have window tint on my car.

I will probably get it done next year if i have the car, 50% on the front 40% on the back seen it on a cobra it looks good and is noticeable for the people inside.

Here is 38% on mine sides & back. I believe Llumar was the brand. Quite frankly, anything darker would look like shit IMO.

50% then. I have 30% on my car and I've been pulled over 3 times in 2 years for it. Sucks.

Search in the body/appearance section for pics from our tint group buy last year of my wife's GLI w/ 50%, it looks good. Lots of guys got 35 and have been quite happy.

Seriously, if you don't want trouble, do 50.

Trooper says 20%. Could have sworn I asked for 35% when I bought it. I really don't want to remove it but I'm getting the "3 strikes" feeling.

Go to a police station and ask for it to be tested. Also, check your tint invoice and if you didn't get what it shows you got go back and have it redone.

For the rear windows at least, i am pretty sure from the factory there is some tint on there. So wouldnt you have to take the stock tint and then add the 35% which would make it lower then what the guys at the tint shop would say it is.
I know they usually will just grab a 35% sheet of tinting material and apply it over the stock tint.

Mitsu uses ~97% factory tint. Some German cars can be up to 92-94% from the factory.
