I really never thought it could be that easy. Well it wasn't "easy", but it surely wasn't nearly as tough as people make it seem to be.

Small story:

I stepped on the scale 6 months ago or so, and realized that I was becoming a fat lazy piece of shit. I am 21 years old and should be in my "prime", not becoming a fatfuck. That made me a little mad at myself, but I was also doing other stupid shit at the time, so I decided that it was time to make some life changes. I didn't really want to do anything drastic, but some drastic stuff ended up happening.

I joined the Gym Feb. 14th of this year, and at first just focused on weight training, because I felt weak. I soon realized that in order to lose weight like I wanted to (for the summer), I would need to do much more cardio, so I kind of started working on that. At first, I could hardly run a mile, and by March I hated the treadmill with a passion, but it was finally becoming warm enough to run outside. Once I started running outdoors, I actually started to enjoy it, soon I was doing 2-3 miles a day whenever I had time to run.

By the beginning of May, I was starting to get these crazy thoughts in my head like "I could probably run a marathon by the end of this summer if I wanted to" and "I think I should go run 10 miles today". Stuff that not long ago I would have laughed at myself for thinking.

My longest run to date is a little over 12 miles in just under 2 hours, which isn't all that bad, but still by no means fast.

I feel 1000x better about myself, but I still have a ways to go before I am fully happy with how I look. I was secretly hoping my nose would get a bit smaller, but no such luck :(.

I was eating unhealthy as hell and drinking 36-60oz of pop a day, now I don't even touch the stuff, and I eat mostly healthy (have to eat unhealthy sometimes, it tastes so good!). Oh, and I have never once turned down a beer, so alcohol has always been around.(Only been 21 for like 9 months!)

5 months ago:

238lbs of pure fat and man-titties!

Tonight:

188lbs, and slightly less man titties! Still a ways to go!

Next step:

Try to stay around the same weight and build muscle/lose fat. I want to get my bench up to the 225-230lb range (180 max right now) and wouldn't mind developing my arms a bit more and flattening my stomach.

Great job, keep it up!

I started jogging and rollerblading outside this spring, and its alot better than sitting on the treadmill like I have been. Last night did about 6 miles I think, but my asthma kicks in so I have to slow down the pace at times.
