Good stuff. I've been trying to do the same also, but I've been getting lazy at it. I need to lose this beergut I've gained since I turned 21 (I also never turn down a beer). Keep it up.

Nice to see a post like this. Keep it up! I've lost 12lbs in the last 3 weeks from chaning my diet and cutting down on portions alone. I i heal up from my wisdom teeth I'll get going on weights.

Now my goal is to stay around the same weight but convert what I still have for fat to muscle.

I don't really want to get any smaller than I am now, I just want to get rid of the small little stomach that is still there and turn my man tit's into some real pecs. And of course some arm/leg work just because.

Hopefully by November I look pretty close to how I want to.

Get some whey protein, it vastly helps muscle development. Nitrean vanilla is by far the best tasting stuff i have tried.
also a word of advice for anyone wanting to start running, DO NOT RUN IN CHEEP SHOES! I did that a few months ago and it really messes with you knees and back, Im sure it will cause damage over time too.

I've been thinking about this as well. I've never been overweight and have never quit going to the gym for more than 3 months in almost 22 years. But I've climbed up to 170lbs from being 160 last summer. I hate cardio, but every year I get older, it's harder to keep in good shape. I'm going to add at least three sessions of running or biking every week as well as step up my weight training from two to three times per week. Now I just need to find the time for all of this with three businesses, a family and summer fun. Doh.

I already have a low calorie whey protein powder that worked great before I quit lifting and focused on weight loss.

120 calories (18 from fat) and 22g/protein per serving. It doesn't taste too good, but it works.

You have helped to push me that much further, i have only been doing something once or twice a week, i think that i just need to make it a priority.

If you need any help putting together a workout regime I can help. I take passion in weight lifting and it is my biggest hobby.

Its definitely hard if you stop, even for a week at a time. Your body changes so fast if you stop working out regularly. Its amazing how sore you get once you start back up if you do take a break.

I have been up and down on the scale over the last 5 or 6 years and it really does feel amazing when you get down to a "proper" weight for your frame. I am overweight right now and would like to loose about 30 lbs. Us people that want to do this should start the mitsustyle weightloss club or something.
