X2. I didn't think I was going to go until about 2 weeks before when I said screw it and took off work for the day.

Nothing wrong with just showing up the day of, either! We had several walk-ups that got on the dyno!

um....using a SAFC as a display? that would classify as rice in my book..there's many other things you could spend your money on for display purposes that would give you that kinda info..sell the safc if you won't even ever use it. Put the money to good use.

As for the sidemount issue..try going with a supra sidemount.they are slightly thicker and bigger. Also, ducting some air straight into the sidemount will allow for the air to be a bit cooler..I've even seen a few people but a 4-6" fan on the sidemounts to pull air through them..not sure if it really helps, but i don't see how it could hurt it.

Put the money to good use. Um...have you seen my car? Did you see the other cars there? Pretty sure a 98 GSX with like $5000 in it beating those cars is putting money to good use. The only reason I even have that much in the car is cause a bearing went out in the tranny and destroyed it a couple years ago. I have yet to even put cams in the car.

I never said the sidemount was an issue. I'm keeping it. I never have had a problem with it even when it's hot out. Actually I ran most of the summer a couple years ago with no intercooler at all (just to see how it worked) at 20PSI with 95 degree temperatures outside with no problems.
