Evo 3 16g
255 fuel pump
750 injectors, 19 psi and 80% IDC
60-1
Walbro 255
950 injectors 34 psi 90% IDC
Alot of people misconceive the injector part and go alot larger injectors then what is required.. which is fine since then you can later upgrade..

By "Adding", do you mean a second set of injectors, or swapping the 850's for 1600's?
I have 880's now and am thinking of adding a second set of injectors(680's that I have laying around). Wondering if it will be enough for the setup below.
AEM EMS
2.4l 9.0:1
GT3561
HKS 272's
Sheet metal intake mani
75mm Tbody
gigantic fmic(and 3" piping)
3.5" exhaust
etc. etc. etc(literally everything).
I'm thinking of twin 255hp, twin fuel lines, twin fuel rails, and a single Aeromotive FPR. One rail with 680's and the second with 880's. Want to get great gas mileage for daily driving and have the second set kick in when I want to go nuts. All on E85 or E98 depending on weekday or weekend etc.
I'd like over 500awhp at Shanes place. Doable?

I swaped the 850's for 1600's can't do staged injectors with Link.
I think 500+ on a 61 is very doable if your willing to push it over 30 PSI.

Agreed! I didnt think there were this many people on the boards running e85 either. I'm at 86% duty cycle with my 880's according to megasquirt, running 22psi and a s20g.
2.4l 8.8:1
1600's
SCM61
FMIC, 3" exhaust, etc
crower 415 cams
stock intake manifold
AEM EMS
single Bosch 044 pump with -08 feed and -06 return to a fuel cell
450 awhp at 27psi

This thread FTW. Keep the info flowing guys.
Shane, what kind of IDC do you see on your setup? Also, you have tuned many-an-evo on E85, care to post up any info about those?
Mo, Screw the twin rails/injectors, just do some 1600's. Less parts = more reliability. I think bigger cams might be a good option for you to, no?

On the Evos we almost always just throw in some 1000cc injectors when we goto E85 on the stock Evo 8 and Evo 9 turbos. I have done a bunch like that with the factory ECU and the AEM EMS. Power has been in the 320awhp to 380awhp ranges, all on stock turbos. I haven't done an Evo on E85 with bigger than an Evo 9 turbo yet. I did max out a single Walbro Evo fuel system on race gas on our dyno at 480awhp though, so I think pushing close to 400awhp on a single Walbro might be about it on E85.
I don't know the IDCs on my setup, my car is a poor example though, the big injectors are over compensating for too little fuel pump and fuel pressure dropping. My fuel system isn't up to par at all and I have seen drastically different A/F ratios without ever changing the tune. It did make within 5whp with the A/Fs in the low 12s versus richer than 10:1 on E85.
It probably wouldn't be a huge deal for Mo to goto a duel rail setup though. He has Rau's old intake manifold from his 2G AWD with everything on it to run a second rail. I think Mo might actually have a stock DSM rail and stock injectors clogging the holes right now. He also has an AEM that can do staged injection. The factory Mitsu ECUs can actually handle 1600cc injector better than the AEM, when we do 1600cc injs with the AEM EMS we pretty much always do a peak and hold injector driver box and they still can be hard to control at idle/low load. We run 1000cc injectors for primarys and 1600cc injectors for secondarys that start kicking in when the primarys reach 85% duty cycle on that white Evo.
