So before you all kill me and my roommates too,
i am scared of the 61 because i do not wish to lose the reliability of the car, the street manner have been ok so far, but i have had issues with the car/turbo holding boost.
Worked on all that and hopefully i will have no more problem with that.
I have to put the turbo on today, so i will see if the issues are gone.

I only see reliability going down as you make more and more power... The turbo should hold up fine long term as long as its taken care of.

The more power you make the more stuff you break.

Not necessarily true. The more you beat on it, the more anything will break, close to stock, or heavily modded, doesn't matter. I can say the highest hp DSM I've owned was the most "reliable" because things were put together and held together fine.

QFT.

Build it right, don't abuse it, and it should last a reasonable amount of time.

Look at the raw abuse my motor took last season aaron. Yeah I was breaking shit, but all things considered, with that amount of power, it did very well!

I thought you had to yank that thing like 10 times?

On topic though, in general you do hear about people rebuilding these PTE turbos more often than say a 16g or 20G, but there are probably more cases where people are seeing similar life out of 50 and 61's. JET is a good example of this.

Build your car well, and keep up on maintence and you should be fine. And QFT = "qouted for truth" or here is a few other good possible QFTs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QFT

Yeah, if you beat on it too much anything will break.
