Center stud is VERY important. I had that same issue on my car. Remove it, install RTV on it, and put it back on. I got RTV at work if you want me to do it for you.

Using RTV on the center stud didn't do anything, still pisses oil. So I'm going to take off the manifold and helicoil it.

I did a compression test with my tester so I can compare the results to the old rings.

So that's almost an average 10psi across the board better than before, so it seems that the rings did seat pretty well. However, the smoking issue is getting worse. It's especially bad after letting it sit for awhile, just billows smoke out the exhaust. After awhile it'll smoke less, especially after I go WOT for a bit, then sometime later it'll smoke more randomly. I'm thinking the new valve seals were installed improperly. Either that or the turbo seals weren't installed right.

Try taking out the catch can and see if that helps any. If is geting pressuare back in to the the engine with messed up seals it could make it smoke more with it hooked up.

I'll try that in the next day or two.

During the ksports install tonight I verified the front swaybar was on the loose setting. Thanks Matt D for answering questions about adjustments. They were just on there really tight, had to use some solvent to break them loose. Set them about the same as they height as the tokicos were before. Still need to get on a completely flat surface to level it out. Test driving begins tomorrow, if they're too stiff the Tokicos go back on.

These things aren't bad at all. Right now I have them on stiffness 24 out of 36 on all four, and it's a tad bouncy, I will probably bump them up a few to 27 or so. I want to see what 10 feels like, haha. Streets of downtown Minneapolis might be another story though.

Didn't do too much cornering, but the few I did the car feels a lot snappier. I'll do more testing on the way home.

I found out the center section of the turbo is bad, so that could be the cause of the oil burning. Unhooking the catch can setup didn't help at all.

Since the car is down for the week, I did quite a bit of work I've been too lazy to get around to the past year or two. My car has had the SRS and AntiLock dash lights on for a long time now, both computers are toast.

Two months ago I removed the braking portion of the ABS, but today I took up the carpet and passenger foot rest and took out the computer and a couple feet of wiring.

Removed the passenger airbag:

Here is the cover about to go back in:

Airbag computer:

And a bunch of wiring that was no longer needed. Left group was for the airbag computer, right group was for an unknown harness under the passenger seat. The only thing I saved out the entire bundle was the ebrake light cable (hanging yellow)

Are you done buying questionable used parts yet? :score001:

The right group is wires for the stock infinity amp under the passenger seat.

Looks like this thing has come quite a way since the days of the bees.

Thanks. At first I thought it was for a powered passenger seat, but there's too many wires. Also, that explains why the red wire that's hanging had power without the key on. It sparked on me when it touched a ground, lol.
