So after riding today for about an hour learing how to clutch up a Wheelie, my knees where killing me.
And I realized while trying to use the brake to control my wheelie (first time trying that also) that when I have to use the rear brake I really have to work to get my foot up to the lever. It's caused because my legs are so long that they are folded tightly. So I'm thinking that the rear of the Bike needs to be raised up. I'm hoping that will allow my legs/ankle to straighten out a bit.

Do I have the right Idea? and if so how is that going to effect the bike? Hoping those of you that ride might have experemented with suspension. Please give me your feed back.

You can't just raise the rear up and you probably only have preload adjustability on the rear of your bike for height anyway, which is the wrong way to do it. What you are really going to want is some adjustable rearsets. You can move the pegs down and back to give you more room. Expect to pay about $300-$350. Woodcraft rearsets are great and used to be cheaper than the others, but it has been a while since I raced. Here is the source I used to use a lot.

Thanks Jet, ya it looked like I have a coil over in the back that you could raise but I never really looked closely.

You can "raise" it, but that is just preload. Have you ever set the preload for yourself? The usually come set for a 170 lb rider from the factory. You are a tad over that, so you might need some more preload. A good general rule is to get 1" of sag. Measure the height of the bike with noone on it, but upright (like to the license bracket or something). Then sit on the bike in riding position and have someone hold it so you don't fall, then have someone else measure they height with you on it. It should be about 1" lower than with you not on it. Make sure you are in a tuck position.

I haven't done that yet. And yes. I'm 220lbs so I'm a bit heavier hehe. Thanks for the heads up.

Is there anyway I can do it with the kickstand down? I don't think I know anyone who'd be strong enough to hold it straight, especially with me on it. Would doing that way at least get me closer?

No, you need to be upright will all of your weight on it. It really doesn't take any strength to hold you upright, just balancing the bike.
