I am not being a dick, I would be willing to give advice on a setup. I have just seen WAY too many people think they can throw parts at a car and it will run a good time. Getting the parts to work together, not break things and getting it tuned well are more important than the parts themselves. He needs to start with a more realistic goal than 6's (Rau only hit that a couple of times, then got some restrictions). Tell him to shoot for 11's at low boost, then hit 10's, then head for 9's. Unless he has a ton of money he probably won't get out of the 9's and even getting there isn't cheap.

Well, lets see... his daily driver is a twin turbo stealth - motor swap - 411 whp at 16 psi.

Does that count?
So did he take a FWD Stealth and put a VR4 motor in it? Or did he do some retarded swap in a VR4?

I can say i'm one of those dumb ass people who just threw money at a car.

Since 1999 I now am over $150K spent on this hobby. I still only have an 11sec car and it's not even running, I need a new motor. (at least hes starting with the right platform, AWD hopefully 5spd) I made the mistake of starting with FWD, but originally I had no intentions of going as far as I did, you MN guys sure keep the pressure on, you have to always be going faster don't you!. You've ruined my life I hate all of you! hehehe

This year im looking to do -2s in the quarter. Yeah thats not a typo im going to do -2s. All i have to do is get the car up to 88mph and let the flux capacitor do the rest.

-2 seconds is easy when you race in reverse.

Not he has a 92. Which he swapped for a 4.3. Only made 411 because of his head studs. They were torqued to factory specs. When he hit 17 psi the heads lifted off the block and you can about imagine what that looked like.

He put a Chevy V6 in it, duh!

That also explains why the heads lifted at only 205 hp per head.
