75mm is just a hair bigger than 3" piping. That's what I have on mine, works great.

So what it sounds like so far is the bigger the tb the harder to tune. Unless I want a ton of horse power it is worthless to spend the 70 bucks on a q45, and spend just a little less for a much smaller one like a 1g, just to replace it if I ever want to run e85 or any thing that would out run the 1g? I am not trying to argue with you but it fails to make sense, unless it is a huge pain in the ass to deal with? does anyone know about the tps and what is involved to make it work?

Buy your Q45 Tbody and have fun with it. For $70, try it and see how you like it. Then come back to this thread and tell us your results. You seem to know as much as most everyone on this board about that Tbody. The one or two people on here that may have that Tbody(or any personal experience with it),obviously are not seeing or responding to this thread. For the most part when you go down that route, you just have to figure it out. This forum isn't the one you're going to get the tech info your looking for for that Tbody. I'd guess NABR is your answer.

I like the Q45 TB a lot. I got it back when they only other ppl running it were a couple Puerto Ricans and it wasn't on DSMs. It's easy to use and has a progressive linkage that makes it drive a lot smoother than the aftermarket Ford throttle bodies. You might not need it though. TBs haven't proven to be a big gain, people make 600+ on stock 1G throttle bodies. They are a popular upgrade on all-motor cars, where they usually do absolutely nothing. Also, on DSMs, the idle motor is on the throttle body, so you would be giving up idle control, unless you build some crazy setup to retain the stock idle motor or goto an AEM EMS and wire in a Ford IAC.

What did you have to do with the tps?

You can weld a nub onto the throtle body shaft of the Q45 and bolt the 90 TPS sensor right on to the TB, or if you have a EMS or similar and a working TPS sensor for the Q45 then you are set. It sounds like a 75mm TB would work for your setup, if you wanted to go bigger then stock.
