mwave... haven't ordered from them since like 2000, have you checked the prices vs www.newegg.com?

Looks good though man.... video card could be better but I won't get into that.

By all means, do get into it. If I'm spending the moeny now, I don't want to have to upgrade in 3 months. From what I've looked at, newegg and mwave are pretty close on the pricing, just not a ton of the same parts and newegg didn't have the case we wanted.

I would buy DDR2 800 ram this is how fast the ram is, then look at a 8800 series graphics card, are you planning on running windows vista? if so buy a lot more ram, 4gigs, 2x2 DDR2 800.

That MB will take 4 sticks, so he can always upgrade later if he wants, I would suggest 4 GB to start also with Vista. He is running a 1333 mhz FSB, so 667 DDR2 should be just fine, unless he wants to overclock it, but I doubt AJ would.

I'd save money and buy a sweet o'clocking core, maybe get the e6600 as it has the desirable x9 multiplier. Many have run that near 3.5 ghz speeds with a decent HSF.

Aj it sounds great. But why buy another SATA cable does your Motherboard come with one? And also what kinda PSU(Powersupply) is in that case? Thanks.... If you want get the Corsair RAM chips. They are highly praised in the gaming world. I just noticed you have a floppy drive. Them are not needed. But I also see the 7in1 option for the mem sticks. But eh...so far so good.

Just as a quick note, this isn't being built as the ultimate gaming system by any means. More for work, multitasking first. And it will run XP (Probably Media Edition), Fuck Vista.

I don't know what half the shit some of you guys are saying means. :)
