Have a little more time today, yeah I would look into the 8600GTS, it's not super ass fast but it would be a decent gaming card in comparison to the 8500GT. The processor isn't a high priority, shit if you're just doing mild gaming and office/web surfing a 2.33GHz Core Duo 2 would be just fine. With that extra money you could buy a really nice video card and have a great gaming PC.
My laptop is a core duo - 1.8GHz with a 7900GS and it scores better than my friends 2.4GHz Duo 2 chip with a faster FSB and an Nvidia 8600M card. The video card is what matters the most with games now a days, and who cares if office opens faster? If it already opens in 1 second... who's gonna notice that 5% difference. And that's without overclocking....
Just my 2 cents, I respect whatever you buy.
