Wow some haters here! I like the look, but I will forever be nostalgic of the classic not-so-mean sleeper look of years past. I like it though, if it handles anywhere near the existing one and responds to mods in a similar fashion, I'll be happy.
The DSG is going to be amazing. If not, the whole car will suffer. Anna's VW Jetta GLI has a DSG tranny in it, and it is the coolest thing since sliced bread. It is actually nothing like Ferrari's F1 tranny in the 355's and 360's. It has two *concentric* clutches, and uses hydraulic pressure to hold one in place until it engages the other. It is also effectively two 3-speed transmissions mounted opposite of each other. When one is in one gear, the electronics engage either the gear above or below it. When the shift occurs, one clutch disengages as the other engages. Shifting on Ferrari's F1 cars takes over .10 seconds. VW's shifts in .04 seconds.
Beyond that, it makes day-to-day driving a breeze, shifting from 'fun mode' to cruizing is absolutly sooooo nice. Smooth as hell.
