swanny did you set that up on a switch, or is a laptop required to make the changeover?

Laptop required.

Hmm...I guess I could use the nitrous tables to cover E-85 under power/main tables, but start-up, warm-up, cranking, etc would all be a bit weird, off....

So no, you need to upload the files. Now if someone had a carputer ;).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but last year when Kyle ran that 11.1 or whatever it was on E85, he was running an SC61 with stock lines, and a single Walbro 255HP. And I think they mentioned he was pretty much at his limits there. But that is still a decent amount of power that fuel setup was handling.

SC6152S, Stock fuel line, stock fuel filter, Aeromotive FPR, 1600's, and a 255HP.

It did 525whp like this, and the fuel pump was just starting to die down at that point. IDC's were mid 80's. Base Fuel Pressure was between 35 and 40psi, I cant remember where exactly.

His Daily Driver FWD has a 255HP, an AFC, and 880's. It makes 330FWHP all day every day on some type of 16g. We would try to go higher, but it is a daily driver and it has 200,000 miles on it.

I'll just go out on a limb and say that E85 is a good fuel ;)

Or if AEM would release an iPhone interface :D

Nobody has seen any other problems with fuel lines? For some reason I think I thought I heard about the rubber rotting away because the E85 isn't as lubricated or some shit? I am probably wrong though since I haven't researched E85 that much.

So totally stock lines are fine as long as they can handle enough volume for your power goals while maintaining a good tune?

Nothing to do with lubrication or lack of. It is everything to do with the corrosiveness of alcohol on rubber and aluminum.

Like many in this thread have said though, people using it today have seen little to no effect on their stock parts in non flex fuel vehicles.

AMS did a pretty good test on Corrosiveness of E85.

I have also read that difference in corrosion between E10 and E85 is minimal. All cars are designed to run E10, so therefore E85 shouldn't cause much difference.

I have a 1993 Talon TSI AWD turbo and all I have for mods would be Apexi N1 3" turboback exhaust and a K&N filter. I am wondering what exactly I would need to switch to E85.

Out of curiousity, how much (about) would these parts cost?

1000cc injectors $275-290 :search:
fpr $150-250 :search:

dsmlink $545 :search:
fuel pump $100:search:

If you ask me what the total of these four things are I am going to E-slap you in the E-face.

When we told you to search in your other thread we didn't mean just post your question in a different thread. We meant READ the thread! The second post tells you what you flippin need.

On a good note, at least you found the thread.
